The artist
Monkeyno
I always knew I wanted to become a tattoo artist. What started as a fascination with drawing and tattoo culture eventually became the craft I chose to build my life around.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to live and work across different countries and cultures. Each place has shaped the way I approach tattooing — from the discipline and precision I developed while living in South Korea, to the evolution of my style and larger-scale work in Australia.
Today, my work focuses on custom black & grey tattooing, combining realism, strong composition and careful attention to how each piece flows with the body. I’m especially drawn to creating tattoos that feel personal, intentional and unique to the person wearing them.
For me, tattooing has never been just about putting an image on skin. It’s about creating something that belongs to that person, that placement and that moment in their life.
